Senate Leadership Summit ‘25
The OSGA Senate Leadership Summit 2025 will be co-hosted with Rose State College on Friday, October 24th. We are proud to partner with Rose State College’s Student Government Association to make this event possible. This statewide event is structured to promote student networking and leadership development, and offers students the opportunity to:
Learn how to better serve their institution’s Student Government Association.
Participate in leadership breakout sessions and network with other student leaders!
Participate in an interactive roundtable discussion with State Legislators Arturo Alonso and Toni Hasenbeck!
Advocate for the advancement of Higher Education in the state of Oklahoma.
Students involved in their institution’s Student Government Association are welcome to attend, and registration is going to be left to the discretion of the University. Read the official announcement for SLS here.

GUest Speakers
OSGA is excited to welcome two Oklahoma State Representatives to the 2025 Senate Leadership Summit as guest speakers for our interactive round table discussion.

Arturo Alonso-Sandoval is a recent college graduate, attaining a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. With the help and trust of this community, Arturo has also managed to win his seat in the State House of Representatives representing District 89 in south Oklahoma City as one of the youngest elected officials in the legislature.Growing up on the south side of Oklahoma City, Alonso knows what it's like to face structural injustices. From his experiences, Alonso developed values such as learning, resilience, and service, immersing himself in academic and extracurricular activities while always striving to leave a lasting contribution to his community. Alonso is a first-generation American, bilingual, and the son of immigrant parents from Mexico so he is committed to working hard and fighting for progress.

Toni Hasenbeck proudly serves House District 65, which includes Caddo and Comanche Counties. She was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2018.
During the previous 59th Legislature, Representative Hasenbeck served as a House Floor Presiding Officer and as vice chair of the House Public Health Committee. As a freshman, she served as vice chair of the House Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee on Education, and is currently a member of the committee. She also sits on the full House Appropriations & Budget Committee and on the House Agriculture Committee.
Hasenbeck is a proud alumna of Oklahoma State University. After college, she worked for 19 years as an educator, teaching all ages of children and working in three school districts. She holds a master’s degree from Cameron University.
